Pierre Rambaldi is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. In 1996 he founded Big Productions, which specialises in the production of cinema films, music videos and advertising films. Major brands such as Nike, Addidas, Orange, Apple and Renault have placed their trust in him. Since its creation, the company has produced numerous music videos for artists such as Johnny Hallyday, Angèle, Nekfeu, PNL, Damso and others.

In 2006, he produced Eric Barbier's ‘Le Serpent’, starring Yvan Attal and Clovis Cornillac.

The following year, he produced the Franco-Argentinian feature film ‘La Léon’ by Santiago Othéguy, which won an award at the Berlin Festival.2011 marked his transition to directing with his feature film ‘Les Tribulations d'une Caissière’, an adaptation of Anna Sam's bestseller starring Déborah François, Alice Belaïdi and Elsa Zylberstein.

Since the release of ‘Thriller’, directed by John Landis for Michael Jackson, music videos and cinema have enjoyed a rich and complex relationship, feeding off each other. With the golden age of the music video, a whole generation of young directors got their start in short formats before moving on to feature films. The preponderance of images in pop culture gradually changed the codes. The pace of editing has quickened, and the aesthetics of the image have become more important.

You could explore these dynamics of influence through the history of music videos and cinema at a conference hosted by Pierre Rambaldi at the EJMA during the 7th edition.
