Anaïs Demoustier began her acting career alongside Isabelle Huppert in Michael Haneke's Le Temps du loup (2002), and went on to play a series of roles alongside up-and-coming French actors and actresses, such as in Christophe Honoré's La Belle Personne (2012) starring Léa Seydoux and Louis Garrel. In 2010, she played the lead role in L'Enfance du mal by Olivier Coussemacq, and went on to work with renowned directors such as Bertrand Tavernier in Quai d'Orsay (2013). In 2014, she starred in a number of feature films, including Romain Duris in François Ozon's Une nouvelle amie, and American actor Josh Charles in Pascal Ferrand's Bird People. In 2019, she played the lead in the comedy Alice et le maire opposite Fabrice Lucchini, and was nominated for a Best Actress award at the 2020 Césars.
