Gabriel Yared has been composing music for the most exciting films for 40 years and has won every accolade in the world: César, Oscar, Golden Globe, British Academy Film Award, Grammy Award, and even a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dubai Film Festival. Self-taught, it was Jean-Luc Godard who introduced him to cinema in the early 80s. It was the beginning of a long love affair, first with French and then American cinema. In all, this Beirut-born artist has produced around a hundred soundtracks for feature films. A giant, recognised the world over.
